So, I love Doc Martens. I think theyre a gift from the gods and will always be in style. I got the 1490s in smooth black, and I really wish I had gotten the black illusion; only because the smooth black was extremely stiff and uncomfortable. One of my girlfriends got the knee high Docks in black illusion and she said they felt like heaven and didnt even have to wear them in. My boots, however, I had to take to a cobbler and have them stretched and worn in for me. They still hurt my feet a little, but its not like I didnt expect that. I know itll take a while for me to truly wear them in. Needless to say, though, I will continue buying Docmartens and wear them like its 95. Holla!
