Original that never goes out of style. I used to wear these drmartens 1940 boots back in the 90s. They were comfortable then and still comfortable 18 years later. Classic boots that will never go out of style. Just remember get a size smaller than your usual one. They run kinda big. As for breaking them in...there has been no problem with that. Grab some knee high tube socks and wear them around the house for a few hours for the first few days. Also applying Kiwi saddle soap helps soften the leather. Then you should be ready to wear them around town. Docmartens only get more comfortable the more you wear them and the older they get. Zappos is a great place to shop online. I bought the Dr Marten 1940s boots for my boyfriend and he is happy with them. I have a pair of these docmartens boots 1940 too, and I love mine. They do take a while to break in, but well worth it. He said his next pair will not be so tall, more like 10 holes.
