I work Offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and slip-on boots are the way to go. I have also owned Caterpillar slip-ons. Slip-ons take some getting used to, but overall the comfort is superior. I think they weigh a little more, but I never looked at the numbers. While my Dr Martens are more comfortable, I think they are heavier than the Cats. I cant say enough about the shipping. I ordered the 2295 doc martins boots Saturday afternoon while driving and they arrived Monday morning!
